It’s that time of year again. It’s time to start planning your White Horse Christmas! We’ve got plenty of fantastic events coming up over the festive period!
We will be open for drinks Christmas Day, so pop down with the family whilst your dinner is cooking!
On Boxing Day, we will be ready to serve both food and drink…if you hate those left over turkey sandwiches we will have a fantastic menu available, this day is always very busy, so book your table sooner rather than later!

Friday 1st December – Christmas Comedy Night
We’ve got a cracking double headliner show planned for you this Christmas with Steve Day and Dearl Okin! Book a table for dinner before the show and make a night of it. Tickets available at shaftofwit.com or from behind the bar.
Monday 4th December – Charity Christmas Music Quiz
Matthew and Sue present this year’s Christmas music quiz! Starting at 7:30pm and only £1 per person. All proceeds will go to support people with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, in memory of Alice Whittaker. Don’t forget to book a table!
Tuesday 5th December – Psychic Supper with “Jamie Brown” – VIEW MENU
Our Christmas Psychic Supper is a bit special. Enjoy a warm glass of mulled wine or a chilled glass of prosecco when you arrive, before sitting down for a three-course festive meal around two sessions of mediumship by the Clairvoyant Extraordinaire Jamie Brown, all this for just £35.00.
Sunday 10th December – Christmas Carol Service
This is the day we bring “The Church” to “The Pub” with a Christmas carol service lead by Reverend Alison. The service will start around 6.30pm so make sure you arrive at the pub nice and early to get a good seat! Complimentary sausage rolls and mince pies after the service, please bring the family along.
Monday 11th December – Christmas Bingo
Not much to say about our Christmas bingo, the night sells itself! Eyes down, look in at 7.30pm! Prizes galore at our massive bingo night, brilliant fun for all. This is a TICKET ONLY event, £10 in advance to exchange for your bingo books on the night.
Monday 18th December – Charity Christmas Quiz
Sue Edwards is back to host our monthly charity quiz. Starting at 7:30pm its great opportunity to get your friends together and scrub up on your knowledge! It’s only £1 per person to enter and all proceeds go to support people with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in memory of Alice Whittaker. Tables must be booked – 01508 520 250 – Complimentary mince pies and sausage rolls.
Friday 22nd December – Band Night with ‘TRUESCAPE’
The band you love are back! TrueScape are here to entertain you this Eve of Christmas Eve! You’ve broken up from work, Christmas is only a couple of days away so where else is there to be? Come and celebrate the start of the festive season with us and dance your way into Christmas…
Monday 25th December – Christmas Day
“The White Horse” will be open today 11am till 2pm, so pop down for a merry drink while the Christmas dinner is cooking.
Tuesday 26th December – Boxing Day
Rid yourselves of cabin fever and get back to “The Horse” for a bite to eat. Whether you’re making the most of your time with the family, or desperately trying to avoid them, we are here to help.
Saturday 30th December – “The Mod ONE”
Martin Sisley returns with his guitar to entertain you throughout the afternoon from 2.30pm. What better way to spend an afternoon? Book in for lunch before or dinner after and make a day of it with friends.
