Monday 29th April – Opening Season Bowls Match

The start of the bowls season is here at last. Its what we’ve all been waiting for. Gavin will be captaining his team in the Benacre league’s first match! Come down and support them on their way to victory!! Follow us on Facebook at Chedgrave Bowls Club

Friday 3rd May – Comedy Night

Our comedy event is back with a special comedic guest, Patrick Monahan as seen on BBC’s ‘The One Show and ITV’s ‘Loose Women’, he was also the first comedian ever booked by ‘Shaft of Wit’ and he will be headlining the May event. We also have Karen Bayley among other support acts. Make sure to book your tickets at shaftofwit.com.

Monday 13th May – Charity Quiz Night

Our monthly quiz is back with the wonderful Sue Edwards hosting as quiz mistress. All proceeds go towards “The Hales and Loddon Community Sports Hub” £1 per person to enter. The quiz starts at 7:30pm, don’t forget to book your team a table.

Thursday 23rd May – Steak Night

Steak night is back already with a fantastic offer you won’t find anywhere else in the village. Tuck into 2 sirloin steaks for only £38 or 2 rump steaks for £27. What more could you ask for? I know, how about we discount our house wine to £17 a bottle.

Sunday 16th June – Fishing Breakfasts

It’s the start of the fishing season and we will be open for an early breakfast on this Sunday and then on every Saturday until late September. Breakfasts served between 7am until 8.30am. Booked tables available at other times please call us on 01508 520250

Thursday 20th June – Loddon Band (Summer Solstice BBQ)

Join us this barmy Norfolk evening and enjoy the sounds of “The Loddon Band”. It’s Chedgrave vs Bramerton on the bowls green so Frank will be here in opposition. The Barbecue will be alight for everyone to enjoy the longest day of the year right here in our sunny beer garden. Come along with your friends or family and be part of the merriment of this fun-filled evening of entertainment

Tuesday 9th July – Rumburgh Morris Side

Come and enjoy a lovely evening of entertainment as Chedgrave Bowls Club take on Wrentham on the green whilst the Rumburgh Morris Dancers charm us with their traditional music and dancing in our sunny beer garden. The barbecue will be alight for all to enjoy with hot dogs and burgers galore.

Monday 22nd July – The Water Rats Jazz Band

Tonight’s the night when we get our annual infestation of the famous Water Rats! Music and entertainment throughout the evening from this unique band of musicians as they tour the Norfolk Broads this summer! A night for your calendar not to be missed!

We’ve had some fantastic nights here at The White Horse and have got many, many more in the pipeline! Once a month we have regular events including; Live comedy, quiz nights, psychic suppers and steak night. Every year the chefs prepare a special menu for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Valentine’s Day. Our staff are always happy to go the extra mile to help you celebrate, nothing is ever too much trouble. Please keep an eye out for these signature menus so you can book your table and treat the special people in your life. They deserve it.

Biennially we hold our Last Afternoon of The Proms event.

This event is a ticket only event. It’s always best to be ahead of the game and book your tickets nice and early, so make sure you keep an eye out for when they go on sale as it’s always a sell out!

Playing in our beautiful beer garden we welcome ‘The East Coast Sinfonietta Orchestra’ while you sit back, relax and enjoy either afternoon tea, Or arrive ahead of the concert for a three course, fine dining experience!

 

 

Biennially we also hold our FREE fireworks display.

For this event we don’t ask you to book, you can just turn up and enjoy the spectacular display, all we ask to show your support is to purchase a drink from the bar and/or a bite to eat from our BBQ.
